Overview

BroadPoint is looking for Functional Testers who can work on the Test Planning, Preparing, Execution, and Close-out for an Oracle Federal Financials R12 implementation. The individual must be well versed in Oracle Federal Financials R12, all aspects of functional testing (e.g. analysis, planning, performance, automation, user acceptance) and able to speak to needs for each. He or she must have broad expertise in the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures, and expertly performs a variety of complex tasks with minimal guidance.  Areas of expertise should include the following:  Unit Testing, Functional Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, performance/ Load Testing, System Testing, Smoke, Sanity and User Acceptance Testing, and Defect Management.

Responsibilities

Core duties include the following test-related functions:

  • Experience in applying Testing Methodologies,
  • Create test plans,
  • Create test scripts,
  • Execute manual test scripts,
  • Document results,
  • Execution of test scenarios in the Oracle Application

 

Qualifications

Technical Skills:

BS or equivalent plus minimum 5-7 years of testing experience in Oracle Federal Financial Application (AP, AR, and GL), CM, Loans, and Oracle Purchasing or MS + 3yrs related experience.

Should have extensive functional knowledge of Federal Oracle Financials R12.

Knowledge of test tools such as HP UFT (QTP), HP QC, AUTOSYS, MS Office, and TOAD, etc.

Experience in Defect management, including Defect creation, modification, and tracking, reporting using industry standard tools like JIRA, Share Point, Rational Clear Quest, and Quality Center. 

Experience in testing new Development and Production Break fixes.
Experience in testing interfaces and creating test plans that cover end-to-end testing across Modules.
Experience with creating SQL queries against Oracle databases.
Significant prior experience with the standard software development lifecycle (analysis/design, development, testing, implementation, support).
Proficient experience in executing scripts for Reports, Interfaces, and Extensions.
Experience with submitting jobs in AUTOSYS.

Strong verbal and written communication skills including able to communicate technical issues in a straightforward and concise manner.

Must be able to multitask and work independently or in a team.

 

Preferred Experience:

Having HIGLAS experience is a plus

LoadRunner or Performance Center

Experience with defect reporting & analysis and the ability to conduct test risk analysis.
