    BroadPoint is a certified small business delivering high-quality services and solutions for commercial and government organizations across a wide range of technologies.  We are seeking a highly motivated PART-TIME Staff Accountant to join our Bethesda-based firm who is interested in learning and performing a broad range of tasks with our accounting department.

    Responsibilities

    • Review Commercial and Federal Contracts, purchase orders and modification to setup clients, vendors and projects.
    • Manage the invoicing process for Commercial and Federal clients.
    • Communicate with clients, vendors and project managers to review rates, billing discrepancy, invoicing concerns, etc.
    • Maintain billing accuracy by managing project bill rates for consultants and subcontractors.
    • Regularly update Accounts Receivable reports and assist with the client collection process.
    • Track timesheet completion metrics and expense reports in accordance with company policy and follow up with staff and subcontractors on delinquent timecards.
    • Maintain current documentation and procedures.
    • Review vendor invoices that come into the AP Dept. for payments to ensure proper paperwork, signatures and approvals. Review coding is correct prior to entry into the accounting system.
    • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions; research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
    • 1099 Processing.
    • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned or needed.

    Qualifications

    • 1 to 3 years experience in the Professional Services industry.
    • Microsoft Dynamics SL experience a plus, but not required.
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Microsoft Excel.
    • Ability to learn new reporting tools.
    • Ability to complete projects timely and accurately.
    • Highly organized individual who can manage a large volume of transactions.
    • Collaborates well with others both internal and external to the Accounting Department.
