    BroadPoint, a leading provider of Business Applications and IT Solutions, has an immediate need for an Oracle Federal Financials Developer to support a federal client.  We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our Bethesda-based professional services firm who will report to a BroadPoint Technologies Program Manager.  He or she will be an integral part of a team that is responsible for continuing the operations, development, implementation, integration, maintenance, including software updates, configuration management, program management, transition, and support efforts.

    Responsibilities

    • Experience in analysis, design, development, support, data processing, migration (from legacy and older versions of Oracle Apps).
    • Extensive experience in the technical aspects of Oracle Applications modules -- AP, AR, GL, PO, Sys Admin.
    • Proficient in writing stored procedures, packages, triggers and functions using SQL & PL/SQL.
    • Experience in development and customization of BI Publisher Reports, Oracle Forms and Reports in Oracle Applications.
    • Involved extensively in design and development of interface and conversion programs to integrate Oracle Applications modules to import data from various sources using PL/SQL, SQL*Loader, etc.
    • Experience in implementing Conversions, Interfaces, Customization and Maintenance
    • Experience in software development lifecycle and production support of Oracle Public Sector Modules also.
    • Develop/maintain technical and functional design documents.
     

    Qualifications

    Skills / Experience

    • Hands on development experience with GL, AR, AP and Federal Admin applications  - JDeveloper 1.2.3, OA Framework, Java, JSP, PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, Shell Scripts, SQL, etc. R12 development experience is preferred
    • Minimum of 4 years of Oracle 11i federal financials experience on multiple projects in federal government organizations. Experience will include accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and Discoverer reporting
    • Experience with technical upgrades from 11i to R12 is a must including making code changes related to UPGRADE (11i to R12)
    • R12 GL, AP and AR setups knowledge and experience
    • Developing OA Framework (ADF or OAF) applications/screens with JDeveloper experience is a must
    • Significant experience in requirements development and traceability through the SDLC of an application – from requirements definition to design to development and testing and post production validation
    • Experience writing functional/business requirements and preparing functional designs
    • Proficiency with Rational tools
    • Experience with application training and preparing user manuals
    • Experience with XML, Oracle, 10g, Oracle tools, WebSphere tools and systems, TOAD, SOAP, JAVA, C++

     

    Education: 4 Years college degree in Accounting/Computer Science or related field.  Master’s degree preferred

     
    Specialized Experience: All qualified candidates must have one year of specialized experience. Examples of such experience include: closing entries; preparing monthly trial balances and financial reports; developing automated accounting instructions and procedures for routine transactions; and analyzing financial and statistical data from public or private sector accounts
